Chocolate Baked Oats
Feeling like have a piece of cake for breakfast? Try out these Chocolate Baked Oats, they are perfect for a healthy and nourishing breakfast that is like chocolate cake! Plus bakes oats are super easy to make in less than 20 minutes
- 1 cup / 180 grams rolled or porridge oats
- 1 banana
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup / 50 ml maple syrup
- 3/4 cup / 220 ml almond milk
- 2 tablespoons cacao powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 scoop / 25 grams chocolate protein
- chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 375ºF/180ºC.
Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips into the blender and mix until smooth and well blended around 2 minutes.
Pour the batter into 3 small ramekins or oven-safe dishes, about 3/4 way full.
Top with chocolate chips or any additional topping you like.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean. Enjoy!
You can use rolled or porridge oats in this recipe. Also if you want to go for the Gluten-Free version use Gluten-Free Oats.
If you want to make the baked oats vegan you can substitute eggs with flax eggs, apple sauce, chia eggs, or vegan yogurt.
I used maple syrup to sweetened the baked oats, but you can use any type of sweeteners like honey, agave syrup, or coconut sugar.
Fill the baking dish only 3/4 full as the oats might overflow if you fill them to the top.
