Everyone went nuts about baked oats recently, this Baked Oats TikTok Trend went viral and I am not surprised. Baked Oats are super easy to make, you can make them in million ways, and they taste so good. And who doesn’t want to eat cake for breakfast?

Chocolate Baked Oats

The best thing about this recipe is that is healthy, nourishing, and also has 25 grams of protein per portion which is absolutely incredible if you are working out or just want to up your protein intake. You can also get creative with baked oats and add things like a spoon of peanut butter, cocoa nibs, or a bit more sweetness by adding some maple syrup.

  • Healthy – I often struggle to come up with healthy breakfast ideas so when I am feeling like having a sweet breakfast, these baked oats are my go-to. They are healthy, high in protein and I stay satiated for hours after having these.
  • Easy to make – Honestly baked oats are the easiest recipe you will find, just put everything into a blender, mix it, pour into an oven-safe dish, and bake! So in less than 20 minutes, you can enjoy this delicious chocolate (cake) baked oats.
  • So Delicious – Did I mentioned that these taste like chocolate cake? Well, yeah if you have a sweet tooth as I do, these baked oats will satisfied you from the morning!

  • Rolled or Porridge Oats
  • Cacao Powder
  • Almond Milk
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Chocolate Protein
  • Egg
  • Maple Syrup
  • Baking Powder
  • Vanilla Ectract

How to make these Chocolate Baked Oats

  1. Preheat the oven to 370ºF/180ºC.
  2. Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips into the blender and mix until smooth and well blended around 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the batter into 3 small ramekins or oven-safe dishes, about 3/4 way full.
  4. Top with chocolate chips or any additional topping you like.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean. Enjoy!

Tips and Substitutes

You can use rolled or porridge oats in this recipe. Also if you want to go for the Gluten-Free version use Gluten-Free Oats.

If you want to make the baked oats vegan you can substitute eggs with flax eggs, apple sauce, chia eggs, or vegan yogurt.

I used maple syrup to sweetened the baked oats, but you can use any type of sweeteners like honey, agave syrup, or coconut sugar.

Fill the baking dish only 3/4 full as the oats might overflow if you fill them to the top.

  • 3/4 cup / 220 ml almond milk

  • 1 scoop / 25 grams chocolate protein
